- I'm proud to be a native Nevadan and the daughter of former U.S. Senator Howard W. Cannon (Dem. NV 1959-1983). I love living in beautiful Douglas County and enjoy teaching Sociology and Women's Studies at UNR and riding Quarter horses when I'm taking a break from political and charitable activities.
